Question 1

What records do boarding facilities require for horses?

Accepted Answer

Most facilities require a negative Coggins test, proof of core vaccines (Rabies, Tetanus, EEE/WEE), and emergency vet authorization. PetPort centralizes these into one shareable link for barn managers.

Question 2

How do I share my horse's records with a trainer or farrier?

Accepted Answer

You can use the Service Provider LiveLink Board to give professionals access to specific health and care notes without requiring them to download an app or create an account.

Question 3

Can I track horse hoof health digitally?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use the LiveLink Board to upload farrier notes and progress photos, creating a visual history of corrective work or maintenance over time.

Question 4

How does the Digital Horse Passport help with horse sales?

Accepted Answer

When a horse is leased or sold, the entire digital history—including medical records, Coggins tests, and training notes—transfers with the horse, ensuring no data is lost in the transition.

Question 5

What emergency information should be accessible for barn managers?

Accepted Answer

Barn managers need instant access to evacuation protocols (e.g., 'loads easily,' 'requires sedation for transport'), emergency vet authorizations, and handling instructions for fire, flood, or colic emergencies.
